Yesterday once More

When I was young
내가 어렸을 적에
I'd listen to the radio waiting for my favorite songs
제가 좋아하는 노래를 기다리며 라디오를 듣곤 했었어요

When they played, I'd sing along
노래가 나오면 전 따라 불렀고
It made me smile

Carpenters

카펜터스는 싱어인 karen capenter와 동생인 Richard capenter 의

남매로 이루어진 그룹입니다.

카펜터스는 1960대 후반 3인조 밴드로 출발합니다.

하지만 1968년 베이시스트인 Jacobs가 탈퇴하고,곧바로 Richard의친구가 들어오지만 그역시 얼마지나지 않아 탈퇴하게 되며 이때부터 본격적인 남매듀오로서 활동을 하게 됩니다.1969년 The capenters 라는 이름으로 첫 앨범인  "Ticket to ride" 를 발표하며 주목을 받기 시작합니다. 그후 1970년에 발표된 [Close to you]라는 앨범으로 성공을 거둡니다. 특히 동명타이틀곡인 "close to you" 는 이들에게 첫 No.1 곡이 되며, 이 앨범을 통해 Grammy 에서 2개부문을 수상하게됩니다.1970년부터 1975년 까지 이들은  전성기를 구가합니다.
하지만 1975년 발표한 앨범 [Horizon] 이후 이들은 쇠퇴하기 시작합니다.

Richard는 마약에 빠져 1978년부터 치료에들어갔고,karen역시 지나친

다이어트로 거식증에 걸리게 됩니다. karen은 1979년 솔로앨범인

 [Phil ramone] 를 발표하지만 실패 하고 말고,

1981년에 이들은 다시 앨범 [touch me when we're dancing 를
발표하여 차트16위까지 올라가며 활동을 재개 하지만 [Made in america] 라는 앨범을

끝으로 1983년 karen은 끝내 거식증으로 인한 심장이상으로 세상을 떠나게 됩니다.
